Course Curriculum

Terminology and Concepts
We will review terminology and concepts that will come up during this course. This will be a chance to learn common definitions as well as create your own.

Ancestral Research and Genograms
We will introduce some tools that are helpful for learning about our ancestral traumas, wisdoms and healing practices.

Somatic Practices
We will explore some guided somatic exercises for ancestral trauma. We will also learn how to independently apply these practices.

Rituals and Movement
We are going to learn about rituals and movements that have existed in your history, and identify rituals that can carry you and your ancestors forward.

Relationship to Food
Here we will explore the role that food can play in our healing, trauma, and identity.

Bodily Autonomy
We are going to explore bodily autonomy beyond the individual. We will explore this topic in the context of systemic oppression.

Body Image
Now we will explore the impact of systemic, communal and familial patterns on our body image.

Integrating Practices
It is time to ensure that you have the tools you need to apply the lessons from this course.
